Come by every Thursday afternoon at the Semmes.
 
Other activities include checkers, and math games.

Bring your board or use ours.
 

However, we do have Chess lessons  self paced- online:

Bring your own chess boards, some will be available.
I recommend to bring wipes and and sanitizer for game pieces and players.

a game just played with pawns.

Objective: To learn how a pawn moves, takes and works with pawns to create defensive structures. 
                  Learn how to take advantage of a passed pawn.


How to Play:

Set up your board with only pawns:

As in regular chess make sure the board is correctly set with H1 is on the right white square

White side moves first.

Pawns move and take like a regular chess game.

First Pawn to reach the last row wins.
